The three activists were expelled from the premises in… 45 seconds. But their happening worked on social networks.

The very short incident has only disturbed the party. But the collective was still able to organize its coup. “Nemesis”, an identity group close to the national rally and which presents itself as a “Women's protection association”took advantage of the Nice LGBT carnival to deploy a banner “Against wokism”.
“We don't change like a toy”
Friday, February 28 on Place Masséna, three activists have brandished a double message since the queernaval parade: “No to the indoctrination of our children”spotted by the conservative media Direct Azur, but also “We don't change like a toy”whose photo has been broadcast on X, with a post shared a thousand times.
“This is the strong message that our activists wanted to convey this evening to Lou Queernaval, a show open to all, especially to children, punctuated by a support speech by Christian Estrosi, the mayor” explain it. “Recall that the stands of this show were full of children, faced with queers activists conveying a political message”.
“This message has in no way had its place here tonight”
In less than a minute, the organizers of the festivities folded the banner, moderately whistled by the stands closest to the troops. In the middle of the tanks and light installations, many spectators have in fact noticed anything.
Solicited, the municipality “does not bring any comments” if not only “This message has in no way had its place here tonight” and that “The individuals in question have been repeated towards the calm exit”.
The gay carnival, which precisely celebrated its tenth anniversary and its sixth edition, is the only event of this importance in the country. It was launched in 2015 under the leadership of the UMP town hall, in partnership with local associations.
In our columns Thursday, the coordinator of the LGBT center of the Côte d'Azur regretted the current climate: “We live in a world that is politically complicated, with the development of authoritarian powers which are very easily attacking the rights of women, and LGBT+people. And in particular, at the moment, the rights and existence of transgender people. This is the case in France.”
