





The development of medium-sized cities at more affordable prices in making an alternative of choice for buyers? According to a recent study, Fréjus is among the most interesting destinations to invest at the start of 2025.


Acquiring a good in a large metropolis generally makes it possible to secure your investment, but the amounts to be paid remain out of reach for many households. Despite the stabilization of prices in certain sectors, real estate remains expensive.
According to Maslow.immo, an expert in real estate investment, it is currently more judicious to turn to intermediate cities, those with less than 100,000 inhabitants. They offer an attractive balance between moderate prices and high rental demand.
To identify the most promising municipalities, the platform has drawn up a classification relayed by the magazine Capital.
The first places come back to cities close to large urban poles, such as Nantes (with Saint-Herblain in mind and Rezé in sixth position), Lyon (Saint-Priest, second) or Bordeaux (Bègles, third and Villenave-d ' Ornon, eighth). These localities are distinguished by affordable prices, a good transport network and a dynamic real estate market.
The only representative of the southern region in this list, Fréjus won ninth place with a note of 34.75 out of 50, ahead of Saint-Malo (tenth with 34.25/50). A classification which is explained by several factors, financial but also linked to the quality of life.

It takes an average of 4,216 euros per square meter for a house and 4,828 euros for an apartment. As of January 1, 2025, the median sales price was 2,108 euros per square meter.
The study highlights a significant difference: the prices charged in Fréjus are 50.9 % lower than the departmental average, which amounts to 4,291 euros. Over the past year, the prices recorded a 0.9 %drop.
Beyond its financial attractiveness, the city is also distinguished by its living environment. In the list of “Cities and villages of France where life is good” Posted by Le Journal du Dimanche in 2024 (pending that of 2025), Fréjus ranked 163rd in nearly 34,000 municipalities.
Third at the departmental level, it seduces with its coastline, its walk lined with palm trees and its rich historical heritage. Its city center is full of treasures, such as the Roman amphitheater, the aqueduct, the theater, the cloister, the cathedral and its famous market, one of the most appreciated in the Var.
